VOYAGE EVENT API
Awake.AI's Voyage Event API is a globally available cloud service providing automated messages when vessels enter or exit user-defined areas.

The Event API service provides actual time event information and notifies about the vessel arrival times to various areas during port calls (e.g. pilot boarding places and berths). The service provides time references automatically and objectively. Thus can be used for example in a statement of facts or records for billing.

The service enables personnel in various roles related to the port call to prepare in advance for the arrival of vessels of interest without continuous manual monitoring. Other use cases include monitoring traffic in reserved or hazardous areas. For example, areas close to a port can be temporarily or permanently reserved for dredging, sailing competitions, environmental restrictions, etc.

Event API reduces the need for continuous manual monitoring of vessel traffic and thus helps port personnel to prepare in advance. Geofence areas can be easily customized according to the desired advance visibility, e.g. to notify on arrival to a VTS zone, pilot boarding place, or port area.

The service is accessed through a websocket-based API which provides timely and accurate event information. Customer account -specific buffering ensures that all data can be retrieved even if the client disconnects temporarily.

Our Event APIs are available with a fixed monthly fee tailored to the amount of usage you require. This allows accurate budgeting and avoids large surprises from jumps in costs. You have the option to stop usage of the API if monthly quota is reached before the end of month or allow defined amount of additional usage.
